Humbles™ started with a screen, some ink, and a need to create.

I started with what was available and let the process teach me what worked best. It still guides everything I do. I keep the process close, personal, and hands-on. The work feels better that way, and it shows in the result.

humbles™ day one

My approach comes from time spent behind the counter of a tattoo shop. It taught me how to listen, how to solve visual problems in real time, and how to meet people where they are. Every project began with a conversation. The same energy shapes Humbles™ today. Each piece is made slowly, with intention and care, by hand.

Everything I make is drawn by hand for screen printing. The graphics are made to live on fabric. Printing guides both the design and the execution.

I take a low-waste, handmade approach to production. Everything is made to order, or it’s a one-off that’s ready to ship, from a limited collection of seasonal screens. I choose premium blanks that feel good and hold up to wear. I rebrand the blanks and dye many of the garments by hand. The result is bold prints, vivid color, and hand-embellished Marker Shirts that feel alive. Coloring a shirt is like putting ink in skin, except now it’s ink on cotton. It’s meant to last, to hold energy, and to speak without saying a word.

I print on a manual press, with close attention to consistency, clarity, and texture. Screen printing is part of my creative identity. The labor and time involved are part of the story. The goal is a connection between the art, the garment, and the person wearing it.

The Marker Shirts reflect this approach. Each one is colored by hand, so each one is individual. No two are alike. They’re part of a larger body of work and remind me to stay playful, stay present with the process, and keep learning as I go.

There’s beauty in the small imperfections. Ink settles differently. Colors shift. Edges soften. I accept all of it. I trust the materials and my hands. They make each piece feel alive.

I work this way because it’s real. It lets me make something that lasts, with character, meaning, and a visible connection to the person who made it.
