Why We Do It This Way

Humbles™ started with a screen, some ink, and a need to create.
We began with what was available and let the process teach us what worked best. That mindset still guides everything we do. We keep the process close, personal, and hands-on. The work feels better that way, and it shows in the final result.
humbles™ day one
Our approach comes from time spent behind the counter of a tattoo shop. That experience taught us how to listen, how to solve visual problems in real time, and how to meet people where they are. Every project began with a conversation and a collaborative spirit. That same energy continues to shape Humbles™ today. Each piece is made slowly, with intention and care, by human hands.
Everything we create is drawn by hand and built specifically for screen printing. These graphics are made to live on fabric. Each piece is thoughtfully developed, with printing guiding both the design and the execution.
We take a low-waste, handmade approach to production. That means small batches, intentional methods, and careful selection of the garments we use. We choose premium blanks that feel good and hold up to wear. We rebrand our blanks and often dye garments by hand. The result is bold prints, vivid color, and hand-embellished Marker Shirts that make each piece feel alive. Coloring our shirts is like putting ink in skin, except now it is ink on cotton. It is meant to last, to hold energy, and to speak without saying a word.
Our printing is handled manually, with close attention to consistency, clarity, and texture. Screen printing is part of our creative identity. The labor and time involved are part of the story. The goal is connection between the art, the garment, and the person wearing it.
Our popular Marker Shirts reflect this approach. Each one is colored by hand, creating a completely individual piece. No two are alike. These shirts are part of a larger body of work. They remind us to stay playful, to stay present with the process, and to keep learning as we go.

There is beauty in the small imperfections. Ink settles differently. Colors shift. Edges soften. We accept all of that. We trust the materials and the hands doing the work. These details are what make each piece feel alive.
We work this way because it is real. It allows us to make something that lasts, something with character, meaning, and a visible connection to the people who made it.
Welcome to Humbles™. In the coming weeks and months, we will be sharing more about each part of this process, from our design style to our dye methods to the philosophy that guides it all. For now, thank you for being here. We hope you join us on this creative journey.
