Why I Keep It Small

humbles™ first rack
In an industry built on scale, I keep it small. At Humbles™ I make limited collections, custom merch, and artist-led apparel drops, made to order and printed by hand.
The work isn’t built around systems. It’s built around the moment. I draw everything by hand and make each piece to live on fabric, not just on a screen. I stay close to the process, with real materials and a direct relationship with what I’m making.
Some ideas need more room. They don’t fit standard production timelines. They develop through testing, timing, and instinct, and I do my best work there. The dye moves how it wants to. Color hits cotton in unexpected ways. Things shift just enough to keep it interesting.
Staying small gives me space to follow ideas as they show up and see them through. Like the ceramic mugs with Good House Ceramics or the quilted duffel I made with The K Brand, some of my favorite pieces came from letting the process lead.
I want to get the idea out while it’s still fresh. I stay close to the feeling that sparked it, and I make only enough. Everything is made to order, or it’s a one-off that’s ready to ship. Less leftover stock means less waste.
I handle every step from sketch to screen to shirt, so I stay connected to the work. The final piece holds that energy.
I’m here to keep making what feels right, strengthen the craft, and work with people who value originality and are open to trying something different.
If you’re looking for custom merch that feels personal, or you have an idea that doesn’t quite fit the mold, you might be in the right place. To work with me on a limited collection with the same hands-on approach, start on the services page.
Let’s make something together.
