About the Process

The split fountain is one of the more hands-on techniques in screen printing. Two inks are loaded into the screen at the same time and hand pulled across the mesh together in a single pass. Every pull is different, so every shirt comes out different: the blend, the ratio of one color to the other, where one ink ends and the other begins all shift from one end of the run to the other. No two Patches Tees will be identical.

The graphic comes from the Humbles™ logo patches that ship with every order from the studio. That patch has been part of the Humbles™ identity for years, and the Patches Tee puts that same mark on a garment, printed by hand, one pull at a time.

Every garment is printed and finished at the Humbles™ studio in Trenton, NJ, ensuring the integrity of the work remains intact from blank to final piece.
