Made to Order LIVE: Printing in Real Time

MTO LIVE is a live screen printing event where your shirt is printed as you order it. You place the order, I go to the press, and the work happens right in front of you.

I wanted to share what goes into a good print. Every shirt is pulled by hand and printed during a live broadcast you can watch in real time. It brings you closer to the process.

I go live from the studio at scheduled times. Dates are announced on Instagram, in the newsletter, and on YouTube. During the stream you can tune in, place an order, and watch your shirt get made.

Why I Started MTO LIVE

I’ve spent years behind the press figuring out what works and staying close to the materials. MTO LIVE lets me share that part of the work. It brings the print table to your screen.

When you order during the stream and see the printing in real time, the piece has more context. You know where it came from and how it was made.

What To Expect

Each session features a limited collection of hand-dyed garments. When the stream begins, the shop opens. You pick a design, choose your size, and place your order.

I print each shirt as it comes in. You see the setup, the pull of the screen, the drying, and the finished shirt. Then it gets folded, packed, and shipped. The studio is live for a few hours, the presses run, and you can leave a comment in the chat.

Why It Feels Different

MTO LIVE is made to order in front of you. Your shirt is printed after you place the order, so you aren’t ordering and waiting in the dark. You see it get made, and the one on the screen is yours.
