These collections are Made to Order. It's not just another preorder. Preorders run for a few days or a week, and you either showed up at the right time or you missed it. This isn't that. No hype, no FOMO. Made to Order is ready when you are.
Made to Order
Made to order is available for the whole season, not a few days. It runs smoother than a preorder with less pressure for the customer. It also allows me to make only enough. You place the order and I send it to you hot off the press, made just for you. I dye, print, and finish it by hand at the Humbles™ studio in Trenton.
Depending on when you place your order, it takes about two weeks, sometimes sooner. It ships when it's ready.
By Hand
The Highlighter Editions are colored by hand with permanent markers after they are screen printed, one at a time. This special edition of a Humbles™ garment varies in color from piece to piece. I dye the garments by hand too, so no two are exactly alike.
I print all garments on a manual press, one at a time, by hand. This slower, more intentional method of manufacturing is exactly why I love making merch in the first place, not to produce high volumes as fast as I can but to make something that matters. Everything's so readily available now, you have to wonder if it's even worth having.
One-Offs
The stock I keep on hand is a limited collection of seasonal screens, a look at what custom Humbles™ can be for your next merch run. One-offs are one of one dyes, prints, and highlighter pieces, ready to ship. What you see on the site is the actual piece, and when it's gone, it's gone.
Less Waste
Made to order keeps my inventory low to none. Less leftover stock means cleaner landfills, and the cost of overproduction doesn't get passed on to you.
Everything available, in stock or made to order, is listed on the website. I don't have something "in the back".
Made to Order Live
Sometimes I go live from the Humbles™ studio for MTO LIVE and print orders as they come in, or as a scheduled event. You order a shirt and watch it get made: the setup, the pull of the screen, the drying, the finished shirt. Then it gets folded, packed, and shipped.
The studio is live for a few hours. The presses run and you can leave a comment in the chat. You see how it gets made before it ships to you.
The one on the screen is yours.
