Extended License Terms
Understanding the Difference: Standard License vs. Extended License
The Standard License and Extended License differ based on the scale and purpose of your project. Here's how they compare:
Aspect | Standard License | Extended License |
---|---|---|
Scale | Up to 1,000 instances | 1,001+ instances with a custom agreement |
Purpose | Limited commercial use or personal projects | Large-scale, resale-focused projects |
Audience | Hobbyists, small businesses, or individuals | Brands, retailers, or businesses selling at scale |
Exclusivity | Non-exclusive | Optional exclusivity with additional cost |
Examples | Craftsperson selling 50 shirts at a market | Clothing brand printing 5,000 t-shirts for retail |
When an Extended License Is Needed
In certain scenarios, you may need an extended license to ensure compliance and appropriate usage of Humbles™ vector art. If you have already purchased a standard license (default purchase) you may upgrade to an extended license at anytime. Below are the types of extended licenses we offer:
1. Large Volume Commercial License
Required for projects exceeding 1,000 instances in digital or print formats.
- Examples: Medium to large-scale product lines, high-volume packaging, or advertising campaigns.
- How It Works: Pricing is tiered based on scale, e.g., standard license 1-1000, extended license 1,001–10,000 units, custom terms 10,001+, etc.
2. Items for Resale License
Required for using vector art in products explicitly created for resale, such as t-shirts, mugs, or posters sold online or in retail stores.
- Examples: Apparel brands producing and selling products in significant quantities.
- How It Works: Pricing is determined by the number of products and sales volume.
3. Multi-User License
Required when vector art is shared across multiple users or devices.
- Examples: Design agencies or companies with distributed teams requiring shared access to files.
- How It Works: Licensing fees scale based on the number of users or devices.
4. AI Training License
Required for using vector art in AI model training or derivative creation.
- Examples: Companies training AI models with vector art to create derivative works.
- How It Works: Includes higher premiums due to potential for derivative or resale-focused use.
