About the Process

The split fountain is one of the more hands-on techniques in screen printing. Rather than printing a single solid color, two inks are loaded into the screen at the same time and hand pulled across the mesh, blending as they go. Every pull is different, which means every shirt comes out different. The blend shifts, the colors move, the ratio changes from one end of the run to the other. No two Patches Tees will ever look exactly the same.

The graphic comes from the Humbles™ logo patches that ship with every order from the studio. That patch has been part of the Humbles™ identity for years, and the Patches Tee is a way to put that same mark on a garment in a format that reflects how it is actually made here, by hand, with intention, one pull at a time.

Every garment is printed and finished in-house at the Humbles™ studio in Trenton, NJ, ensuring the integrity of the work remains intact from blank to final piece.
